Originating with the Latin noun vocatio, a call or summons, in the religious sense, a vocation is a particular call from God to a specific state of life.
Vocations come in many forms, such as to the single and celibate life, to married life, to the priesthood either secular or religious, or to be a religious brother. Some Christians also have vocations to a combination of callings, and answer them as Oblates of a monastic community. We invite you to explore the following pages to learn more about vocations at Our Lady of Good Hope Monastery.
